Candide on Humanity: Part one of eighteen (Liar)

Feb 27, 2007 20:35

Era: Pre-OotP
Rating: PG
Length: 50 words

A/N: There's a part of Voltaire's Candide where the protagonist asks her companion whether humans have always been so awful. She uses eighteen adjectiives to describe the human race. I thought it would be nice to set those to a character in HP. Each is 50 words long.

Senior Undersecretary Umbridge signed the order for the despatch of the dementors with a grim smile. The Potter boy undermined the Ministry too much these days, especially backed by that old fool Dumbledore. She would deceive the Minister himself if she had to; her actions were for the greater good.

wizarding world, candide
