„You can’t just erase what happened between us, Caroline. It clicked... we fit together perfectly...” said Johnny. He was standing behind her, holding her shoulders to make her feel his warmth. To let her feel his feeling for her.
They were standing in an over crowded disco, people were pushing against them. She had seen him already outside the club, and fled into the anonymity of the crowd. Only it didn’t work. Johnny had followed her into the disco anyway.
And now he was trying to pursue her that the night they had spent meant more than it really did. It broke her heart, but she couldn’t get involved with another human. Not someone this nice and good. She couldn’t risk him getting killed by Klaus’ anger, or Damon’s jealousy.
She shook her head. Klaus was still trying to hunt them down for having stopped him from breaking the curse. She couldn’t and wouldn’t get Johnny involved into their business. She liked him too much for this.
So she looked at him and said, “You’re wrong. I can...”
She stared deeply into his eyes, and knew that this would be the last time that he would look at her with warmth and feelings. The last time that he would know her. Her compulsional powers would see to that.
“You’ll forget having ever met someone with the name Caroline Forbes. You didn’t spend the last night with someone you connected with. You had one of many one-night stands with someone you don’t even remember.”
...
Johnny felt himself suddenly waking up from a daydream. He looked around, just to see that he was inside a club. All around him people were dancing and having fun.
He frowned, wondering how or why he got here. It was confusing. He shook his head and looked around. He had the feeling like he just forgot something. But he just couldn’t figure out what it was.
