Cold, Gray and Bored ... Purple

We got over three inches of snow overnight and, although the sun didn't make an appearance today, it was relatively mild. So, since I was home and didn't want to wait (until after 4 or 5 pm) to have my snow shoveled, I went out there with my little shovel and did it myself. The snow was wet and heavy, but I got it done and it only took an hour. And

RE: Ametrine ... there's also something watermelon tourmaline that I STILL regret not picking up for peanuts years ago when there was a travelling show of semi-precious stones that came to town. I'm not a fan of diamonds ... I like big showy gems.

I'm a big fan of watermelon tourmaline. It can be tough to find! I got a wonderful specimen from a friend, but the colours aren't as vibrant as the expensive gems.

As I say, too many to mention! I love carnelian, and lapis lazuli, and... The list goes ever onward, lol! Looking forward to hitting the Gemboree in August.
