Bakery Goods ... Glazed Croissants in Canada

A locally bakery in Ontario, Canada has been offering something similar for the last six months. It's rarely available by the end of the day when I usually ( Read more... )

Those don't seem to have reached the Uk yet. Not sure how I feel about the idea, but if they're a similar price when they do get here, I think I'll hold my curiosity in check ;)

I am curious to try the real ones at least once though only one at that price. The glazed croissant version is good but there are a lot of 'empty' calories.

I hope you enjoy the real one if you get to try it - it'd be a shame if you didn't at that price!

That's a great price for a good-looking pastry. I have not tried the cronut. This croissant looks delicious with its sugar glaze xx http://hotlyspiced.com

It's a pretty good 'once in a long while' indulgence.

Zsuzsa here

No I have not tried them yet. I don't frequent bakeries, I bake. But I must say these are very tempting. Bad girl Maria the Zsuzsa does not need more temptations.

I shouldn't frequent bakeries either but I pass by 2 of them on the way home from most of the schools I work at, when I work that is, especially with the construction on the north side of my house. I go to the one with the good parking and drive by the much bigger Italian one with the truly decadent offerings because it has lousy parking. I only go there 3-4 times a year compared to the weekly visits at the other.

I also bake so I shouldn't be buying goodies there but if I buy just ONE or two, it satisfies cravings for fat and chocolate. :)

Only looking at this gives me 5 cm more in waistline ;-) I am not a big fan of doughnuts (luckily! one temptation less ;-) ) Unfortunately there is an extraordinary baker in a French town very close to my house who bakes amazing croissants... (not obvious even in France). You can imagine how difficult it is for me to go there and just buy some bread ;-) Sissi

I can imagine it ... French pastries sound like something I couldn't resist.
