I'm sure a lot of people have heard about the latest bakery craze in the US. The
cronut is a combination of a croissant and a glazed donut. It's quite pricey ($5 each) and even available filled. A locally bakery in Ontario, Canada has been offering something similar for the last six months. It's rarely available by the end of the day when I usually drop in so I took the opportunity to order a couple at a much more affordable price of $1.50 each.
The glazed croissants are large, about 9 inches long with two of them filling a dinner plate, and quite rich tasting.
