funny story for the day:
mum told me she and dad were staying downtown saturday night and i was thinking "finally, a night to myself", and as i was leaving for work my dad called and told her that he was going to go golfing sunday morning instead.. as mum hung up the phone i asked, "you're not going downtown anymore?" and she replied, "no, he's apparently got better things to do".. so i hauled ass to work thinking to myself "oh no no.. you're going downtown".. when i got there i asked dad if they were going and he said he was going golfing instead, and i said casually, "oh, kuz i thought she was excited about it" and he said "really??".. and i sorta walked away.. so i ran into him in the hall later and he said "was your mother really excited about going downtown?" and i just said "i don't know, but she seemed really disappointed when she found out you weren't going".. we get into the office and he proceeds to call her and tell her he's not going golfing, then calls his golfing buddy and cancels.. then-- this is the best part-- he walks to my desk and throws a couple singles in front of me and says, "that was worth two bucks"..
in short: i conned my parents into staying downtown for the night and they paid me for it..
