I had my first real life meet-up! Seriously, in the 12 years since I started (and later, sadly, left) the active HP fanfic world, until today I had never met any of you in real life. And today I got a triple dose! By an astonishing coincidence, my family vacation path took me to a road stop where we met up with Bambu, Dickie and Elise Wanderer. Okay, so it was somewhat planned, but only the part where we figured out a couple of days ago that our paths were crossing and planned the actual meet-up, which was a very nice lunch in a lovely little lake-side town. The Peanut bonded with Elise over a mutual love of Hamilton, the Bean pouted as only a 13 year-old girl who is not the center of attention can, the darling hubby was alternately indulgent and enthusiastically geeking out with Bambu, and I gushed like a school-girl with her first crush. Huge thanks to Dickie for making this happen. It was hours ago and I keep finding myself smiling just because.
