"If they are going to have a different person every week tell Booth and Brennan they should get together, but nothing changes, it's going to get old real fast."
This. The show is really, finally, starting to grow on me. But this is so much godamned tell that all the show in the world is not going to make up for it.
well i was going to ask you how it ended since i saw the first part but yeah, didn't stick around. (and medical knowledge mangled this time, podiatry. sigh)
I did like Booth's desire to care for his grandfather

Yeah. It's poor writing, glaringly so, and it takes me out of the episode.
This episode didn't work for me like the previous ones. There were some very touching moments with Hank/Booth/Brennan, but the way they're handling Booth/Brennan is starting to seriously annoy.
The bit with the nicknames bothered me, too. Brennan seriously can't understand why people use/like nicknames? I know she's supposed to be super-rational and all, but really, it's not that difficult to figure out.
Not every episode can be hit out of the park. The gaming one in two weeks looks amusing.
I liked this episode in spite of having no idea how the murder victims were burned alive while just lying there.
It's only fair that Booth gets to hear what his Pops thinks. After all, he is family, and family trumps everything - even Gordon Gordon.
There was the chance for Brennan to see that she's not the only one with a traumatized childhood and it sounds like Booth's happened at a younger age. So I could see why there was very little forward movement on the 'I love you' front. You could say that Brennan gets to see Booth express what true love is by showing her. He likes her necklace anyway.
