205 - Nara Shikamaru [VIDEO/ACTION]

Shikamaru’s foregone the pillow-stuffing earplugs he’s been using so far this week for now, instead just going barefoot and settling beneath a tree near the waterfall. Not too near, of course, but close enough to see

[He wasn't really expecting to see a deer here? So his curiosity is immediately piqued when he sees it. He's just going to crouch nearby and watch it for the time being, not sure whether he can approach it or not.

But he can't help but watch it. It's great to see animals nearby, and he does really like animals.]

[Shikamaru glances sideways when he hears the newcomer approach, but doesn't move much beyond that. Hana notices Dick fairly quickly as well, turning to face him and swiveling those large ears in his direction.]

[He glances at Shikamaru, giving him a small, friendly wave before his attention goes back to the deer.

The childish smile on his face may have gotten a little bigger when Hana turns to face him. He worked with horses and elephants but not deer.]

[Shika offers Dick a small nod in greeting, looking a little clicking sound in Hana's direction. At the direction (or that's what Dick will have to assume the noise was) the deer moves forward, stepping out of the stream and heading slowly for the newcomer.]

[Kurama was tending to the plants quietly, finding solstice in keeping the biodome alive. He noticed the deer before he could smell it. Usually his hearing was extremely sensitive but his sense of smell was better, this week his hearing exceeded even that. He looked up quietly in the direction of the animal and quietly whispered]

[The demon's hearing is probably better than Hana's, even without the help of the current experiment, and Hana perks up when Kurama speaks.

Blinkblink. Staaaare.]

[Kurama gazed for a long time before speaking again]

No, you're different...so there are more deer here after all.

[Sorry, Kurama, no shapeshifter here. Just a boy and his simple deer, both of which are raising eyebrows at you... or, well, Hana would be. If he had eyebrows.]

[Walking by to investigate some plants Finny stops to stare about ten feet from Shikamaru. He's not that discreet about it either. Just staring trying to decide if this is the guy Sebastian warned him about.]

[Shikamaru raises an eyebrow at the boy, staring for a few seconds before offering a simple, two-fingered wave.

What're you lookin' at, kid?]

[Finny jumps at the wave. Oh no. Caught staring. Better try to cover it quick! He waves awkwardly back.]

[... Weird. Shika watches Finny curiously, speaking softly when he replies.]

You okay, kid?

An unknown assailant has attacked. With a very small pebble.

[HEY. That was his face, you pebble-flinger. >:|

Shika frowns and rubs at his forehead, glancing around for a few moments before sighing and sensing around, feeling for the source instead of looking.]

[Keep hunting, deer boy. ANBU girl wants to play.

[Ah, damn it.

Shikamaru sighs again before slowly getting to his feet. A quiet click gains Hana's attention, and the Nara mumbles something that sounds very much like 'Temari'. Hana perks up, lifting his nose in the air while Shikamaru begins his own search.

He's no Inuzuka (or even close, to be perfectly honest), but now it's two against one.]

[Cats and dogs and chickens? Yes, Misaka has seen those, even managing to own the latter animal in all its peeping, chicken-y glory.

But a deer? She's never seen one before. She'll stay where she is, however, not wanting to bother said deer or anyone else really, and just trying to escape all of the noise. She's definitely keeping an eye on that deer though. Sort of like an excited small kid.]

[The deer continues about its furry business, moving through the stream and back into the grass, slowly getting closer to Misaka's location.]

[She watches. Misaka knows that animals rather dislike the electromagnetic field she puts out, and though she'll be sad that the deer probably won't want to come within four feet of her, she figures if she waits long enough like she did with her chicken, maybe it'll get used to the field she puts off.]

[Hana spots Misaka and tilts his head, ears swiveling to focus in her direction. He stares for a few moments before moving again, but just as Misaka thought, he hesitates only a few feet from her.]
