Okay, so it wasn't exactly his ideal situation, but after a week of enduring the general wtf-erry of their current testing environment, and being more than a little disappointed that he walls hadn't suddenly gone white at midnight, Jay figured he'd cut his losses and crash out on the train for a while. If Barnes were there, he'd probably get some snarky comment about... Well, whatever. And Dick would think it was great fun. Tim ( ... )

While he may have been the one to propose the spot, Tim still finds himself surprised that the train is the most peaceful place available in this location. It's something that he considers heavily during the time that he was supposed to be using for morning meditation--a stretch of about an hour that he instead spent staring at the flaming locomotive ten cars ahead of him. This roof, just avoiding the engine's smoke, hands wired into the roofing material, this was the safest place available to him. Well, aside from possibly inside the car ( ... )

Great. Fowled that one up pretty good right off the bat, no pun intended.

Jay whips around. He'd cut out on wearing the torn up green domino a around four o'clock on Thursday, when the leftover spirit gum sticking to it just wouldn't hold out anymore. Tim's appearance was kind of tantamount to catching him naked. Sort of.

"I can never sleep too hot with my feet touching the ground." Is was a lame excuse, and actually he was kind of thinking of using the seats. But now they were out on principle.

"So..." The cowl makes it a little hard to really pin down his expression. The smirk is obvious, the furrow of his brow less so. "You planned on sleeping with your feet propped? That seems awkward." He moves carefully up the car, one hand resting on seat back for balance. He shouldn't need it, but the jostle of the train sets him off for some reason. Maybe he's not as well-adapted to his schedule as he'd hoped.

[Bucky shouldn't be up. He knows he shouldn't be up and about. But one of his team is out in Queensland by his fucking self, unable to talk and therefore cast spells without pain, and Bucky can't go drag his ass back to the car. Can't even give him a proper lecture like he is. So he knkows he shouldn't be up and about, but he is anyway, pacing the length of the car and looking irritable, shirt off and chest and stomach covered in bandages that are spotted with blood.]

Shit. [It's all he can do not to cry out as he gets his punishment - another stab wound opening up again. Blood blossoms fresh on his bandages.]

[Accelerator's only just waking up now, because sleeping in is one of his favorite things. He stretches as he sits up just in time to see Bucky's wound reopening.]

Captain Asshole? What the fu--augh!

[One hand goes to his head and the other to his stomach as he doubles over in pain. There's an intense pressure in his head and blood vessels all over his body are bursting. It's mostly internal, but blood is starting to trickle out of the corners of his mouth and he's sweating all over.

He doesn't realize it, but his punishment for talking is his body reacting the same way it would to using magic.]

fff, hog away, i love it. bucky_cap July 11 2011, 00:57:32 UTC
[Captain Asshole? Captain Asshole is his new name? Well, he can't say it doesn't fit. But that's only a fleeting thought, before he's rushing over to Accelerator, pushing aside his own pain to deal with the other's. Something's going on, it has to be the experiment, but... What the hell is triggering it?]

Shit, don't- [Ah fuck, there goes another wound reopening.] Ngh- don't say anything. [Yep. Theory tested. Talking is bad. But he's doing his best to ignore the warm blood seeping through his bandages to check over Accelerator and try to figure out what's going on with him.]

[Without even thinking, he weakly tries to swat Bucky away. Deal with your own pain and don't worry about him.]

[He tries to grit his teeth and just deal with it.] Wha--?! [Shouldn't've done that. He starts to cough up blood and bleed externally in a few places. His powers have always protected him from pretty much any form of harm, and even if he's been beaten up pretty badly a few times in the last few months, he still isn't quite used to actually dealing with intense pain. And pain aside, he's never felt so hot in his life.

Well...if Cap said not to say anything and it only got worse when he tried talking about...then...maybe if he was quiet it would stop...]

Sunday right after reset [Open to anyone] artemisaim July 10 2011, 22:49:30 UTC
Kate is seated on one of the benches in car 11, eyes glued to her 'berry. She never reads the observations, they're usually pointless and immature, but she always reads the termination list. It's important to know how many they're terminating, if there's any pattern to it and if anyone she cares about has been terminated.

This is especially important this week, as she hasn't seen Amalia in a while. She skims the list calmly, not really seeing anything that catches her attention too much. And then she sees Amalia's room number, almost at the end of the list. She's very still for a few minutes, just staring at the screen in disbelief. Finally she sets the 'berry down, bringing her knees up to her chest and wrapping her arms around them, her face hidden as she leans her forehead against her legs. Part of her had known this was going to happen when Billy said he couldn't locate her. A bigger part had been refusing to believe that it was the case and now she just...didn't know what to do with the reality of the situation.

Tommy is sitting beside her. They haven't been apart much since they first arrived in Wonderland, and now is no different. He's just as worried about Amalia, but there's some small hope that he won't see that room number on the list. He's leaning against her side, reading the same thing on his own 'berry, ignoring the observations and just skipping right down to...

His heart twists painfully in his chest when he sees it. She's... no. She's gone. They... they terminated her. She isn't coming back. His thoughts race in true speedster fashion, and a moment later, he shudders, a full-body shudder, before he hurls his 'berry across the train compartment.

Tommy can't even manage any words. He's too busy trying to hold back the wetness pricking at the corners of his eyes.

And Timothy is sitting in the seat in front of them. He can hear the shifting behind him as limply he holds the other device within his hand, looking downward at the list of numbers and rooms that appear. He normally ignores what is said, he normally has nothing to do with the people who have left and those gone, it was the past and he did not know of them but this time it was different, completely and utterly. She was a friend, he considered her close and liked to keep her near--certainly they were not the best of friends but of all the others located here, he could think of a handful that deserved to be crudely terminated while she should be allowed to remain. She brought life, she brought the greenery he enjoyed so much and the conversations that smoothed out the edges ( ... )

Amalia definitely didn't deserve something as terrible sounding as termination. Though she could be moody and a bit prickly, she could also be very sweet and over the few months that they had been here, Kate had come to like her quite a bit. It was almost like having a little sister, really. Maybe getting so close to someone was a bad idea in this place but getting attached was never something that Kate could help.

When Tommy throws his 'berry she really doesn't even react, just sort of slumps against his side, curling further into herself. She hasn't noticed Timothy in the car with them yet. If she had she probably would have dragged Tommy to the seat he was in. She knows that Timothy was friends with Amalia too so after a minute she lets out a shaky breath and reaches for her 'berry to send Timothy a message.

'I'm sorry.'

Sunday Afternoon [after Billy-being-stupid-time] OTA iwantbluefont July 11 2011, 00:10:41 UTC
Billy had kept his promise and made it back to the train without incident. He felt an idiot for making everyone worry, particularly when he'd partially gone out there in the first place to distract himself from the worry that was all ready mounting in the train. Kate and Tommy had been much closer Amalia than Billy, and waiting for the list to appear...Billy wasn't sure how to comfort them if she appeared on it. It had been stupid, but he thought if he could fix things with Accelerator, take control over something, than he wouldn't feel so lost with everything else.

Only then he'd made every one worry more. Not his shinning moment.

He stepped into the compartment, fully ready to be lectured, and frankly, quite grateful for it. Good intentions or not, it was a stupid thing to do.

Tommy had been worried. Hellishly worried. Normally he wouldn't worry so goddamn much, because Billy's an adult (or at least as much of an adult as Tommy) and capable of taking care of himself, for the most part, but. The terminations list had shaken him to the core. More than he was letting on, though Kate and Billy would recognize it immediately. They knew him too well. So when Billy finally stepped into the compartment, Tommy basically just said 'to hell with it' and immediately pulled him into a tight, brotherly hug, burying his face against his twin's hair. He shook a little, almost vibrating.

He didn't have to speak to say 'I was worried'. Nor did he have to speak to say 'Don't fucking do that again.' A punch to the arm took care of that nicely.

:'D, also Aww Tommy, why are you so precious!? iwantbluefont July 11 2011, 01:02:35 UTC
Billy's eyes widened a moment, but his face was soon softened by a smile, and he hugged him back apologetically, holding him close. He looked concerned with the shaking, rubbing his back in a way that was reminiscent of his mother without really meaning to.

He winced at the punch, but still managed to smile, looking into Tommy's eyes to make sure he really understood how sorry he was. For everything.

Tommy met his brother's gaze, and his lips tightened into a thin line. He can't help but be angry, so goddamned angry at everything - at the interns for taking Amalia, at Billy for taking stupid risks. What if he had run into something nasty out there by himself? What if he hadn't come back? What if Tommy had lost his brother, too? A surrogate little sister that he hadn't been able to protect was bad enough, but to lose his twin would just kill Tommy inside.

He punched him in the arm again, a little harder, to show that he meant it, and then he hugged his brother again.

Monday Afternoon | Closed to those who know Dick is Batman notasidedick July 11 2011, 19:19:23 UTC
If you happen to be in the train car right now, you'll be surprised to see that Dick isn't in costume anymore. No, the Batman costume is folded neatly on the seat as he stares down at it absentmindedly. Dick isn't sure what he's doing actually. He knows that the fact he hasn't posted on the network as just himself is risky, so he needs to publicly be seen as himself.

But now, he has no idea where this is going. It'll be easy to just post and say he's okay, but if he wants to throw people off, it means that Batman needs to be around the same time he's himself.

"This is a little harder then I thought." He rubs his wrist a little. He really needs to shut up. He puts his armlets on before doing a quick stretch. He was wearing his performance leotard just to keep playing with the fact that he's just a Circus guy. That, and the outfit would make it easier for getting around without being slowed down. "I feel ridiculous wearing this again without the Circus tent."

[OOC: Prose or action brackets is fine!]

Bucky happens to be on the train car, because. Well, when isn't he lately? He's been forced to his bed by basically all the kids he's not adopting. Little brats. Currently, he's sitting up, leaning against the wall of the train and having a sandwich (boy is he glad he'd collected a decent stash of teeth before this mess).

He can't help but quirk an eyebrow as he glances over at Dick, who is... wearing something rather ridiculous. And Bucky knows a thing or two about ridiculous. "You look ridiculous without the circus tent," he says helpfully, though he's having to stifle a little grin. "What's up?"

He glances over at Bucky. "You shouldn't be talking. You can text me from your 'berry you know." Says the guy who gets swatted for talking, which is pretty funny. "And thank you for your wonderful input. I like to be reminded that I look as ridiculous as the tent."

"I hadn't posted to the network as myself last week." He's saying the obvious, but that's besides the point.

Oh, right, he shouldn't be, should he? He glances down at himself and the new spots of blood on his bandages. Shruuuug. He's done it a few times by now so the pain all sort of blends together. But he doesn't particularly want to bleed to death and get attacked by his not-kids, so he pulls out his 'berry to text a reply (which takes him a bit with one hand) and, instead of sending it, just show Dick the screen.

just thought you should know, carnie kid. see what youre saying though. dick disappeared, batman took his place, people are gonna get suspicious, right?
