There is possibly THE largest spider (other than a tarantula I saw in Cozumel) I have ever seen in person camped out on the wall next to my bed. I looked up spiders online and I don't think it is any of the 4 poisonous ones that live in the US. But, it is giant. And very aggressive looking. Like the type of spiders that hunt rather than spin webs. I tried to send the lovebirds in there to defend me, but, they think I'm crazy. They think he may be one of those bird-eating spiders. (Heck, he may be bigger than Blue (who's a runt)!)
He (I haven't gotten close enough to sex him, actually, though I learned "how to" online--love the internet) is very still. But, I have to go to sleep some time and bunking comfortably next to this guy isn't likely to happen. Anyone know about spider trapping? He's not even on a flat surface, so the cup capture method is questionable.
(I realize now I need to steal shiningmoons' OMG! OHNOZ! icon.)
