Slushy is Fun!
Had a fabulous day today snowboarding. Because temps have been so unseasonably warm, the snow was soft and slushy in the afternoon, becoming faster -- a little more grainy and slick -- as the day wore on. I learned a new 'trick' for doing really fast transitions. I'd stumbled across it on my own and SS noticed and explained what I was doing and why it worked. I took my fastest runs ever, I think. Only to be outdone by SS who was able to keep up with me despite this, while riding switch. That was a bit of a letdown -- in the last couple of years I've been able to kick his ass if he was also riding goofyfoot. But, it was a really great session. Fast, fun and hardly anyone there!
Afterward we came home and had a great dinner and watched RepoMan. Since SS and his housemate, LC, hadn't see it before (blasphemers!) I was laughing into my hand and snickering softly before the funniest lines cause I didn't want to burst out with them. I think they were fairly bemused that I was so tickled by it. But, I haven't see it in, what, going on a decade? The soundtrack would be fun to have!
