So I'm a home-owner
So the reason I've been so freaking stressed the last couple of weeks (and over Xmas, boy howdy that was fun) was that I've been trying to get a mortgage. And praise the gods, I've now got one! Basically the house we are living in belongs to my boyfriends' parents. They were going to sell it, so we decided we wanted to buy it and stay where we were. The thought of packing up and moving again was just crazy to me and so now we have a very big debt!
Also a few weeks ago the boyf and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary. I thought we weren't going to do anything special because of the economic situation (every cent is going into our loan fees/conveyancing/rates etc.) but he ended up buying us Subway for dinner and driving up to Clear Mountain at twilight. Out of the boot came a little table and two camping chairs. Voila! It was so romantic. I mean, he stole it off an episode of NCIS but I still thought it was the sweetest thing. We sat and ate our dinner, just looking out at the view of the city and the sunset.
In other grand news, I have decided (finally) to become a Creative Memories consultant! That means I can feed my own stationery and scrapbooking addiction as well as help others to get their photos into safe albums - and also make them pretty! The joy of it is the company also has digital scrapbooking solutions now, so there's something for everyone - even those who aren't particularly crafty (hell, I'm not!). So yeah.
