You're not allowed to do much in Singapore. Sure, it's clean, but only becase doing just about anything lazy or untidy is ILLEGAL.
No jaywalking, gum, littering or not flushing a public toilet. I shit you not.
I'm also including some pics of the elephant ride I went on in Khao Sok in Thailand - these were on another memory card and thus I've only just gotten around to uploading them.
Raffles Hotel - isn't it gorgeous?
Me fulfilling a lifelong dream of sipping a Singapore Sling at the Long Bar at Raffles. I can't tell you how good that afternoon was.
'The Gang' hanging out in the Long Bar. I can't believe they let riff-raff like us in, frankly.
The verandah of Raffles. One day, folks, I'm going to return and spent an entire day sitting there drinking cocktails, smoking and being fanned by a hireling.
This is the cable car to Sentosa Island. Some people think it's scary. Huh?
This is called The Merlion. It's the symbol of Singapore. This one is quite big.
The beach on Sentosa island. I spent the last afternoon of my holiday lying in one of those lounges, sipping daquiris and dozing. Bliss.
OMG ELEPHANT!
The Khao Sok jungle. It was exactly like Jurassic Park. Ancient and lush.
OMG ELEPHANT! It's very hard to take a photo of yourself on an elephant so I contented myself with taking photos of the English couple behind us.
OMG ELEPHANT! This is not ours, it is D's. He named it Stampy. Mine and L's was named Pete. No, not really. We called him that though.
Elephants resting at the jungle waterfall
D takes a swim at the waterfall. No, I didn't have an ulterior motive for taking this photo. Not at all. Nope.
Later that day we went on a jungle walk. This bamboo bridge was totally Indiana Jones. Dodgarama. After this, it all went downhill because it started pissing down rain and the track turned to mud. I felt like I was on Kokoda. Without the war, gunfire, hunger and blisters, I mean.
The cliffs on our way back from our walk. Everyone in this photo is soaked to the skin. There were many Wet T-Shirt jokes.
I keep meaning to email this photo to Rove Live because it makes me LOLZ.
On the way back we had to cross a river but the rain had flooded it and the bridge was washed away! So we had to ford it. Not pleasant, but very exhilerating.
And that's all my photos from my last trip! The best ones, anyways. I hope you all have enjoyed looking at them. Next up: pics from our weekend in Brisbane to see the Duyfken.
