Scotland: Day 5: Traquair House and "Ex-Patriot" Dinner

Today we got a late start, as usual, and then headed over to Traquair House. Its the oldest continually inhabited building in Scotland, and it was built sometime around the year 1200. 27 kings have stayed there over the years. Its a really beautiful place, it has a lot of flowers and other greenery, and the artifacts on the inside of the house are very intriguing as well. First, we took a self-guided tour of the house, then went to their brewery and sampled their beer. It was actually pretty good (this coming from somebody who normally doesn't like or drink alcohol). Then we went to the gift shop and stopped for a while to pet the local cat before heading to the maze that is behind the house. That was probably my favorite part of the day so far. I got a couple of good videos that I may be able to put up later, but I can't right now, so you'll just have to live with the pictures. Next, me and my family are going to have dinner with some Americans who live in Scotland. We'll see how that goes.
