All You Need is Love
Last night old_cutter_john and I went to see Love, a Cirque du Soleil Beatles tribute. It was awesome! All the music was Beatles and there were clips with small conversations among John, Paul, George and Ringo on large screens around the theater. The cast did their usual amazing acrobatic feats and story performance. The costumes and special effects were extraordinary. It ended with an inspired rendition of All You Need is Love.
It's unusual for old_cutter_john to go to a Las Vegas show or concert. Rather than doing major planning, for the most part we usually stick to relaxing at home, going hiking, or visiting with children and grandchildren. The only other performances we've seen together during the seventeen years we've lived here were concerts by Roger Waters, Joan Osborne and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. We were motivated to go to the latter because we like the group, but mostly in memory of our dear friend Bill, who was an enthusiastic fan of theirs.
