Carry the clouds off of my shoulders,
leave me in a wake of fog.
For Death came a knocking,
He left with my soul.
Iridescent irises gaze outward,
Soulless stare of morbid despair.
The hubris of my flesh and blood,
numbed and cold to the touch.
I’m so cold but you’re contagious,
you killed me with uncaring malevolence.
A dove fell from the sky and died,
this picture of love you gave me was just a lie.
My flesh bleeds and you keep cutting,
my heart beats but you keep wounding.
The color of life has went away,
since the day you left me.
