YE GODS IT'S A GRITTY MODERN DAY REBOOT. Given the awesome slashyness of the filem, I fail to see how this can beat it

Your comment is what I was thinking until I watched it. I don't think the movie and the miniseries are really comparable, but (so far) the tv version is QUITE GOODE.

Hum. Okay, it started out gritty for the first five minutes, then decended towards slashiness appears rapid (and totally ripping off the score of the film ;p)

Okay, I meant to ask. IS the series ripping of the score of the movie or is it, like, a Sherlock Holmes thing. That I am not aware of or something.

Dude. I'm totally excited to watch this series. I think I may want to wait until a few more eps go by though. I really enjoy the mini marathon. :)
