i hate politicians.

but even more, i hate when people decide not to vote for one because of stupid reasons.

if you like obama more because you like what he has to say, agree with his platform, think he would do the best job, AWESOME!

I think he would be a very capable leader, i just think hillary is more capable. anyways, thats not the point.

You're completely right, it wont change a damn thing, and I don't set out to change anything anyone else's way, because they have so clearly demonstrated that their way doesn't work. You're right, just having "fucking opinions" isn't enough, hence why I said "Or perhaps we need a citizenship willing to enforce their fucking opinions."

I believe firmly in being heard in any way possible. However I also believe it's a much more effective statement (for me anyways) if I register to vote, and then never do so. It's letting them know I'm there, but I don't like the way they do things. I have too much going on in my personal life to get as involved as writing my senators. Really, isn't that the goal? to keep you so busy all your life, and make it seem like taking the responsibility of running and controlling your life off your shoulders is a favor, even though the people who offer that favor created the systems that perpetuate it's need for existence?

I've come to terms a long time ago that despite all the complaining, and all the unhappiness, and all of the poverty and immense destruction, people are content with their miserable lives. Too distracted by new products and the struggle for work and personal gain, people can't see through their self indulgent consumerism to find there is beauty in more than what man can create and own.

Sure, you can be heard, and your opinions are as valued as everyone else's. In other words, every plea is set on deaf inconsiderate ears.
Joining the ranks of protesters never appealed to me cause it almost seems to me those people are just doing it to make themselves feel better. Iconoclasm is a much harder road to take, but I live by the old saying "Rather be hated than ignored."

how about instead of not voting at all, you vote but write in your own choice? that way, government knows that you care enough about your qualitiy of life to vote, but that you dont support who its sending you?

my dad didnt like sen.'s clinton or obama, so he wrote in chris dodd. and you know what? over 240 people in the state of CT alone did that. and it was noticed. and it was talked about when states had people still voting for edwards even though he droped out. it does send a message.
