an unexpected day off

I had a rare day off today with both of the clients I am doing things for needing me to hold off any updates. It was like the lining up of the planets! So we started the day by wandering out to the local coffee shop for breakfast and then took a print I bought online at the Shakespeare's Globe to the local framing place. I love our coffee shop but could have done without the brain-curlingly pretension conversation from Yuppie Mums Anonymous next to us. Gah!

yeah, the fact that your kid makes a hissing noise when it sees a snake in a story book does not mark him or her out for a Nobel prize.

Its hard to imagine something worse than listening to the conversions of yuppie mums. Well, I guess inadvertently being in one of those conversions is a worse (which happens when you have kids sometimes). Oh, and I guess mugabe is also worse. But still, its bad.

oh man, one of them was so painful I wanted to throw something at her. her kid was the next freaking einstein, or maybe frank lloyd wright because he stacked 2 blocks on top of each other, but at some angle no other kid has ever stacked blocks at.

pfft, ruby stacks blocks into the 5th dimension. you can only understand her block stacking when you look at it relative to the sun. her block stacking is both a wave and a particle.

well see, that is the kind of conversation which I think qualifies as worthy of telling anyone in earshot. Perhaps if her child had learned to manipulate ley lines to levitate the blocks, moulding them only with his mind into a tesseract composed purely of light energy - then I would think it great for her to go down to the coffee shop and announce it at the top of her voice.

(or if say the child had played the drums like a rockstar, the Tube looked awesome btw!)
