an unexpected day off
I had a rare day off today with both of the clients I am doing things for needing me to hold off any updates. It was like the lining up of the planets! So we started the day by wandering out to the local coffee shop for breakfast and then took a print I bought online at the Shakespeare's Globe to the local framing place. The framing was a little more expensive than I had expected but there's no doubt that it will look great when it is done. The guy at the shop wants to display it for a little while before we come to pick it up so it wont be ready for a couple of weeks but I will post some pictures when we get it home.
I wrote a list of things that I want to get done by the end of February and it is dauntingly long,
the coffee shopso what did I do this afternoon? I played the most awesome flash puzzle games have seen in a very long time (if you haven't played grow tower then you really should do this immediately), and theeeen I snoozed in the sunlight coming in through the bay windows. I never snooze during the day but I can really see mandellebrotte's attraction to the after lunch snooze. It was great! And knowing that normally I would be working made it even better. Now having tasted the sweet sweet nectar of the afternoon snooze I will have to guard against taking naps when I shouldn't.
We are off tonight to watch BSG at a friends place as our teev's obsession with red has deepened unhealthily. There is only so long you can make alien noises and pretend you are watching Predator-vision television before it gets old. I could probably get it to work properly after a while of messing with it but talking to the peeps coming over it was generally accepted that it was not worth the risk. Besides it will be good to get out again as too frequently with the weather like this I rarely step outside.
