So Melody Pond = River Song.

I was pretty sure there was no way Moffat could make a three-year build up worth it, and unsurprisingly I was correct. I still don't feel like he has had this master plan the entire time, I feel like he made shit up, then scoured Tumblr for theories, and liked "maybe she's Amy's kid!" Why didn't she recognize daddy in TPO/TBB? Moffat trying to retcon that on Twitter doesn't count. If she's the astronaut suit kid, why doesn't she remember that? So she's part-Time Lord and can presumably regenerate? O I C. But then wouldn't she have regenerated in the Library? Basically I have a lot of questions. A big one is "WHERE THE FUCK IS BABY RIVER FOR THE REST OF THE SEASON".

Also, that means River is a child who was manipulated by a crazy eyepatch lady to try and be a weapon to take down the Doctor who had made a name for himself as being a violent douchebag. And then later they get it on. Oh.

I guess other stuff happened, IDK. I like Sontarans. There was a Silurian/human femslash ship, LOL. I liked the idea that the Doctor was raising an army by "calling in debts" rather than calling up his buddies, because it was a) a bit more sinister and b) a good way to explain why he didn't call up Martha and co. Rory was pretty bamf in the beginning, ngl, and Amy's speech about Rory was cute. LOL @ "the last of his kind" though. Amy, he just likes to cosplay. Also, now we know that having sex in the TARDIS in flight can potentially conceive a Time Lord somehow, so the moral is always use protection unless you want your baby kidnapped by a woman with a metal eyepatch.

And the Doctor can talk to babies. Omfg, avoiding babyfic more than ever before.

Overall?
