Just got back home from the Paramore concert. It was fun. I'm totally not used to not being in front but my tix were free care Averil! Thanks, dude, I had a blast. Let's catch up again over the summer.

It's been awhile since I went to a concert. The last one was Lady Gaga. I think she's an amazing performer and all but for me concert's are all about the beauty of rock music. The last rock concert before this one was Panic! at the Disco and they were amazing crazy.

Regardless of not being able to see the band's antics up close, all I can say is that they're fantastic live like they are on their records. No post-recording polish. Their sound is legit. (I'm talking to you, Sponge Cola. haha)

My only peeve is that the crowd was dead. Hey, I'll admit that I'm not the biggest Paramore fan and I can't sing to all their songs (not even the mainstream ones save a few) but at least I always make it a point to be as enthusiastic as the band when they perform.

You could really tell Haley was happy about performing but as the show dragged on you could tell she was only forcing the PR act. Well, why wouldn't she? The crowd was dead like heck. Bocs said that it might've just been the fact that we were in the bronze section but I could tell from the lack of noise and the lack of crowd singing that it was a bad audience. Haley couldn't leave the mic for one verse without having to take it back to sing the rest of it. It was super disappointing how the crowd reacted.

Bocs' friend Micks' said that I was right. He was in the silver section and when we met up after the show he told me that the crowd was as bad as I thought it was.

I mean, srsly people, if you want them to give you a rocking concert, feed them the energy they need. I know she said she can't wait to come back, and I mean it's totally an honor that we're their last stop on their tour, but no one should expect them to come back anytime soon after that lackluster 6th man performance from the audience. The mandatory "We want more!" chants after the "bait set ender" didn't come about until a painfully long dead air.

Haihai. Kids these days, not enough love for their bands.

In the words of Eli Buendia: SING! Concerts, the best of them, aren't for the bands to sing their lines. It's for us to sing for them when they hold the mic to us.

Well, I enjoyed myself. I super regret not being up front. I would've started that We Want More Chant sooner than you can say "Obi-Wan Kenobi, you are my only hope" out of courtesy for what I thought were a band of wonderful artists.

I'm going to download their songs soon. Their new album is mostly rock ballads I hear. And this vid I leave you with is their latest single as far as I know. Got to love the guitar.

G'nyt, world. Back to academics later in the morning.

P.S.
I want my gym. I want my drinks. I'm bored

When I was younger I saw my daddy crying
and curse at the wind.
He broke his own heart and I watched
as he tried to reassemble it.

And my momma swore
that she would never let herself forget.
And that was the day that I promised
I'd never sing of love if it does not exist.

Well, darling,
You are the only exception.
You are the only exception.
You are the only exception.
You are the only exception.

Maybe I know somewhere
deep in my soul
that love never lasts.
And we've got to find other ways
to make it alone.
Or keep a straight face.
And I've always lived like this
keeping a comfortable distance.
And up until now I sworn to myself
that I'm content with loneliness.

Because none of it was ever worth the risk.

Well you are the only exception.
You are the only exception.
You are the only exception.
You are the only exception.
You are the only exception.

I've got a tight grip on reality,
but I can't let go of what's in front of me here.
I know you're leaving in the morning
when you wake up.
Leave me with some kind of proof it's not a dream.

You are the only exception. [x4]

You are the only exception. [x4]

And I'm on my way to believing.
Oh, and I'm on my way to believing.
