Topic 288 - Redemption

Is redemption truly possible? Yes. But only for the lucky few. For everyone else. Well there pretty much up the creek with out the proverbial paddle.

Truth be told, most folks don't much care one way or another about such things. Redemption is just another big word. It don't mean nothin' to everyday men and women. When you got children goin' hungry. Millions of people sufferin' all over the world. One failure after another. The common man don't have much concern for what may or may not happen in the future.

Course redemption does have meanin' to some. To those moral and upstanding types. Those that need to be honored and respected by their fellow man. When one needs to be respected or loved, but fail or loss it all for one reason or another. They seek redemption. Hopin' that they can find forgiveness and find acceptance and love.

But most do not care what others think of 'em. Do what it takes to make it. Mistakes happen. Failures happen. Doesn't matter in the end. Survival is what matter most of all. Others may be content to let others walk all over 'em. Use threats of punishment, or fears of eternal damnation to scare a person onto the straight and narrow. Yet hate, punishment, threats, or fears will never lead to salvation or redemption.

So long as countless people live not in the light, but in darkness. Long as most exist in the bleakest and saddest of circumstance. Fate havin' dealt a losin' hand. There ain't much chance for redemption or anythin' good. Its the cold hard truth, that in a world full of evil and hate, the possibility of any happy endin' with redemption for the fallen, or salvation for the righteous. Well such dreams is nothin' more than wishful thinkin'. Sadly the way I see it, there can be little chance of such good or sunny days ahead. Long as the hearts and minds of most are full of hatred, prejudice, or the ability to forgive others. Without love, understanding, and above all else forgiveness. Redemption or salvation is an impossibility.
