SO, I am new to this comm, but not to SYTYCD.
I started watching last season with the AMAZING, Benji Schwimmer. I called his winning and I was with him the whole time! haha. Anyway.
1) Danny and Sara are kind of boring. Very good dancers, but boring. ALSO, I love Push It. hahaha. I laughed so hard when I heard it.
2)Dom and Lauren wtf. They are kind of boring too. Also, I feel like they are the...I don't want to say least talented, but like, well, Dom isn't formally trained and Lauren, it took her awhile to start growing. So, yeah. anyway.
3)Neil shirtless is amazing. He wins at life. Also, I get the feeling that Lacey does NOT want to be dancing with Neil, at all. There seems to be a total lack of trust on her part, and she won't look at him! WTFLACEY, HE IS AMAZING AND YOU ARE CRAZY. And I'll probably get flamed for saying this, but I really don't like Lacey. Probably because I love Benji so much and think he is just so so so much better than her. haha.
4) THis is about the Mia Michaels contemporary. Okay here goes.
I love Mia Michaels, but this season, her coreography hasn't been doing it for me. (Neither has Shane Sparks', whom I also love.) I just feel like, there's not as much invested in it or something.
Not like the Bench Dance. Then, I heard this story and watched this dance, and I remembered why I loved Mia Michaels. The dance itself, I felt, could have been so so so much better if it hadn't been Lacey dancing it with Neil, just because she seems so uncomfortable with him. I think if it had been Neil and Sara or Sabra or maybe even Lauren, it would have been beautiful, and just perfect. But I still loved this one. I just feel that Lacey is maybe a little shallow? And didn't really understand what it would mean to meet your dead father in Heaven and dance with him one more time. I just feel she doesn't have REAL character, like she hasn't had life experiences. Like, Benji, he got beaten up and stuff in school, and made fun of so, winning the competition pretty much like, made all of that worth it, and I think Lacey, being a girl, didn't get made fun of for being a dancer. So, I don't think it would mean as much to her if she won.
Wow. Sorry, that was a long ramble. If you read all of that and understood it, I commend you!
