OOC stuffs!

I've been meaning to do one of these but its taken a while for things over here to settle down into something like a pattern. Bascially this is an ooc contact/rp habits thing inspired by Buffy and Tomo and countless others.

Schedule: Free as a bird! A bird that is at the mercy of a rather tempetuous internet connection, family demands, small dog and a rather large flower patch. Don't get me wrong, I love my family, but my grandparents especially don't understand that there are real people on the other end of the computer, and so if I don't come immediately when I'm wanted, I am not taking a moment to say goodbye to my friends, I am blowing them off for the computer. This means that I disappear at short notice, usually for not more than five or ten minutes, but this can cause lags in pms or comments, and yeah. Also, I volunteered to cook for my family while I'm staying with them, so that takes a good hour and a half every day. I've also recently started picking flowers, which I get paid for! But takes a lot of time. Picking flowers, obviously I don't have my computer with me, but when I'm home and processing the flowers I've discovered that I can have the laptop next to me. I lag, but I am about.

Basically, I am pretty flexible, but if you want me for a specific time, please let me know in advance. I should be able to work things if I have warning!

However, I'm not always in a mood where I feel like I can handle confrontation, fighting threads/posts or emotional situations like say, a dropping post or something. I get tired a lot. I'm going to pause/drop threads when I get to a difficult point. I'll try and let people know what's going on as much as I can so that you don't feel ignored/unspecial, but there will be times I don't even manage that. So. Apologies in advance!

ooc contact:

E-mail and gchat are MILES and away the best way of getting in touch with me! saaaaaaaveme@gmail.com for both. If my status is red or orange, an e-mail is probably your best bet.

IRC: Augh. IRC is like, my nemesis. Especially if my net is acting up. I've had too many cases of missed pings, pms that don't ping me, and pings that selectively don't work to trust it at all. I only get on IRC if there is a specific event on, or the person I want to talk to doesn't have an e-mail address listed in their character profile.

However! If, like Tomo, you can't load g-mail/e-mail easily, and I'm not on IRC, a solution might be to ask Buffy or Fran or someone who is usually in chan to poke me in gchat for you. I will log into IRC if I can/am asked.

Tagging and picking up comments:

I welcome being tagged! I really do. Even when I'm not in a great mood, knowing someone wants to play with me is such a huge compliment. You don't need to ask me first. Similarly, I only ask before tagging someone if I think the thread might cause a problem. I know a lot of people don't do this, and I'm not quite sure why. If you'd prefer I ask before tagging you, please let me know.

Also, because I spent so long in a difficult timezone, I will always pick up comments. I know how difficult it is to make conflicting schedules tie in together: one of my all-time favourite threads was continued over a week. However, I hate asking people 'do you want to pick up?' because it feels so much like nagging. If there is a comment notification in my inbox, I reply to it, no matter how long its been there. If you don't respond, I assume that you've moved on from the thread/are no longer interested and won't ask, unless the thread is really integral. Some day I will overcome my fear of nagging at people. Until then, if I reply, I want to play. And if you want to pick up -- just reply! :D

On that note, if I don't reply, there is a good chance a comment got lost somewhere. >_< I try to let people know when I think a thread is finished. So if you haven't heard from me, and the thread doesn't seem complete, try me.
