Excitement builds as the day nears that we leave for London. Browsing the street markets, touring the tower, taking horses out in Hyde park, raiding the pubs, and dancing our way through Soho and Chinatown- we're at the end of our ropes as far as excitement goes. 19 days left. Lindsey and Grace and I are packed and repacked and unpacked and ready to go and the boys are catching the fever as well. Abby and Kelly and Molly and Gracie and Emily and Bobby and Matty and Ben and Philip- it's adventure time for sure. After London it's on to Canterbury, then Bath, then Stratford, York, and Haworth, the Lakes and Manchester. History and drama and dinner theater and tea houses, we'll be up to our necks in awesome and loaded proper with Union Jacks. I'm ready to go, for vacation from everything, to spend Easter on a cruise of British lakes- in the rain and on the greens. I might be losing my mind.

I've decided to go to Puerto Rico this summer as well. I'll spend a week in July with Robert at his great-grandmother's home. I'll wear little more than linen skirts and Indian silk halters, we'll explore the rain forest and discover water falls and lounge on the beaches for hours on end. Sunshine and tropical heat and 15-minute rain showers at precisely 4pm every day. Fresh fruit and strange bugs and monkeys and birds. It will be phenomenal. Now to let my mother know....I think I'll tell her a week before and she'll say no and I'll say "I'm 18" and she'll say "you're a fool" and I'll say "probably, but this is something I need to do"
And I will
And it will be fabulous.
