Well then maybe you need to pay a little more attention to it, since you dont seem so fond of the creature....Perhaps it is just annoying you because you seem so upset with it? Or affection always works.

I am! It's real owner is gone for awhile.

Oh! Well good then. Sometimes birds get fussy if not around their owners for a long time...
