For the past month, I have spent a good deal of my working hours arranging interviews for people who indicated that they may possibly want to fill the job vacancies that
astelleciaand I are leaving behind.

What gets to me is that after clearly spelling out the address and repeating the date and time of the interview, people still can't be bothered to show up. My policy is to give courtesy calls, just in case their brains weren't functioning at its best when I had first called. And people have the gall to a) refuse to pick up (meaning, they actually reject my call), and b) tell me that they're not free for the day.

I mean, look, if you weren't free in the first place, just tell me and I could arrange for a different time slot. Secondly, if you had agreed to a particular time slot for an interview, jolly well keep it booked for the interview and attend. Thirdly, don't have the gall to say ,'er, I'll call you back later and tell you when I'm free." We are not doing you a service; you are the one that needs a job.

Also, if you got a job before the scheduled interview, be courteous enough to call and say so. Following that, don't attempt something to the effect of, "I already got a job, but if you're willing to pay me more, I might reconsider."

Just who do these people think they are!?

And apparently, someone asked that we keep his resume in case we moved to town, because he was looking for a job located there. How aggravating can people get? IMHO, I already have quite a bit patience, but this is really pushing the limit.

I hope you guys reading this never commit these crimes.

On another note, my other computer is still down, so all the pictures for Japan trip are trapped until my brother gets around to fixing it. I promise I'll complete my Yay!Japan entries. That is, if anyone is still looking forward to it.
