happy new year!
by this time tomorrow i'll be done my first day back at work, something ive been dreading since vacation started. i know my break was only a week, but it feels like christmas was such a long time ago already. hanukkah dinner at home on friday was nice, i liked my presents, but they are still at home, i kinda want to go and get them but i'll probably wait a while, its raining now so im definately not going now. after dinner we drove up to the poconos. i had a good time. friday night we played the family guy drinking game i made kevin. saturday morning we got up at like 5 o'clock and went skiing at jack frost, its like 15 minutes away from bill's house up there. it was fun, we beat the crowds so much we actually had a parking spot right in front of the rental shop. kevin went snowboarding so he was super sore. i wasnt any more than i usually am after skiing. my knee hurts a bit but thats all. we came home at like 1 and all went to sleep for the afternoon. got up and had a late lunch and hung out, we wanted to play a board game but trivial pursuit jr was too easy and trivial pursuit genius edition was too hard, so bill and his girlfriend and the friends from pitt they brought went to walmart and bought cranium, so after dinner we all played, it was so much fun, i'd only played that game once before. kevin, aj and i came in 2nd, but we had the best moment of the night by far when kevin was frozen on a cameo and he hadnt even done anything and aj said 'jack nicholson?' and was right. although sean's imitation of a mermaid was hysterical. we finished the game at like 11:30 and put on dick clark and got ready for midnight. i had the better part of a bottle of champagne and a wonderful midnight kiss (my first) and was happy to be where i was and with who i was with. as always, things could have been better. for example, we could have not had to sleep on the air mattress in the middle of the living room, but hey, you take what youve got. i had lots of baileys and we had a snowball fight and i found out that people actually live in puxahutony (or however you spell that place where the groundhog is from.) we came home yesterday, had breakfast at like 1 o'clock at ihop in landsdale because as soon as they sat us at denny's in the poconos they decided to close because something happened with their water and i was grumpy and hungry and sore and pissed off but we eventually ate and came back to the city so it was ok. we parked the car at kevins and came over to my apartment and took a nap for a few hours, then got up and went to wawa and got pizza from papa johns, came back and ate and watched rudy. kevin warned me i was going to cry, which i did, for probably the last half hour of the movie. it was so good. eventually we made it to bed, woke up this morning and made breakfast, ate, watched/half slept through the flyers/bruins game (yay shutout win). then kevin had to go home because he has an interview tomorrow, which i wasnt thrilled about because i wanted to spend the day together because its our anniversary. six months. i never imagined we'd actually stay together, but im so glad we did. anyway, now im here by myself, watching tv as usual and relaxing. im dreading going back to work like no other, i know theres so much to do this month. i know im officially on the other side now, three months down, three to go, and then back to class until graduation, how scary is that. anyway, i think im gonna go lay on the couch for a while and be mopey because kevin went home. my goal is to not go to sleep now, so i can go to bed and wake up in the morning and go to work on time, that would be nice. i think i want to go to the gym after work tomorrow. that's my new years resolution, to go to the gym on a regular basis. i managed to not get there at all on my break which im a little pissed off at myself about, but oh well. did everyone else have a good new years? i hope so. talk to you guys later.
