Full PS icon tutorial
ok when i first say this cap over at ultimate_lims i was like...OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.................................
then i got over it, sat and made an icon :) cause im cool like that :)
anyways i made my base, selected two parts of the cap copied and pasted
onto a new canvas. please, try to play with this a bit cause well...we
dont wanna end up with a bunch of all the same icons, okay?
so, i shall call this, my base (note that this is also the part where
you add your pattern, which is not some huge philosophy, just select
two parts of canvas and fill with pattern. it wont be visible till
the very end of the tutorial that i added it)
a bit too dark, but we can fix that. duplicate 5 times set them all to screen, and once more set to soft light and desaturated.
so i got this.
all better now. next, we need texture. so i add a texture by thia, set to multiply 100%

another one, cause this one is a bit too plain... set to multiply 100%

a gradient, cause i want to complicate my life, set to multiply 100%

now, darkness being at it's tops, we need soft light layers.
another texture by thia (all textures here are by thia), soft light 100%, then i duplicated it to make it more intense

and another one, set to soft light again 100%

now, duplicate the base again, set it on top,soft light 100% and desaturated
do you see that pattern i was talking about?...anyways, duplicate teh pattern again and set it on top to multiply 100%
now, just add some text and there's your icon.
