So today was a very exciting day - a day where I had nothing planned to do!!
I got up to go for a run with Sarah, and off we went, and then had breakfast and watched Gilmore Girls. Then I walked home, the world full of exciting possibilities!! What to do first? Shower? Read? Eat something? Frolic in the garden? Watch TV?
As I walked in the driveway I caught sight of my dirt-encrusted vehicle sitting dejectedly in its spot. I decided, before I showered, to tackle this task - so I collected my bucket, water, sponges, and my stool, and away I scrubbed and polished and cleaned the little blue car until every part of it glistened in the beautiful sunshine! Having made my car happy, I decided to clean myself, and so I had a shower.
As I walked into my room I thought about clothes. And I thought about how many clothes I had that I never wore. So I attacked my drawers and my wardrobe, tossing all the clothes I didn't wear or that didn't fit onto an ever-expanding pile on the floor. With glee I folded and put away the clothes tossed around my room, into the now-spacious drawers. Picking everything up off my floor, I vacuumed my carpet (previously inhabited by hair, eraser rubbings, bits of dirt, dust, and who knows what else?)
The rest of my day is too boring to relate in narrative form so I shall merely tell you what else I did:
- Put on a load of washing
- Had lunch (best lunch ever!!! - a boiled egg, a little spaghetti, piece of toast with vegemite and avocado, banana)
- Organised and went through all the paper and miscellaneous stuff on my desk, bed and floor. Filed away relevant papers, made neat piles
- Hung out washing on pool fence, again enjoying the warmth of the sun on my shoulders and face
And now... who knows what I'll do next?! This day has been too much fun already. Maybe I'll finish off an assignment, maybe I'll read a book, maybe I'll bake something! You never know...
