Don't stress too much about college being the "perfect life-changing moment" or whatever. Just roll with the punches and try to do as well as you can and try to have some fun too. It's all about balance.
I've never felt like I had any lightning-bolt moments of nirvana or anything here but I do look back at my high school self and I would say, that although I'm still *essentially* the same person I'm quite different and can certainly handle a lot more than I ever could then.
Also, the absolute worst time of my life EVER was spring semester of my senior year of high school. It's this whole letting go...and then being let go...and then trying to figure out where the hell you're going to college.... I don't care WHAT people say it is extraordinarily stressful and somewhat awful. So, I feel for you darlin' and this too shall pass.
Everything always works out for a reason. (and that sounds cheesy but there was certainly some sort of fate hand in my ending up at the college I am at!)
Sorry if I talk too much. But I recognize these feelings. :)
