Mer's birthday was celebrated Taiwan style. On Friday we went to all you can drink at the WAX. Mer won an ass-shaking contest...haha. Then we went on a 40 minute taxi ride with this idiot cab driver who took us all around Taipei. We finally got out and refused to pay. Then the search for Creamy began...I don't know what was worse the journey or the destination. I am sure we will not go back to that place for a while...but who knows.
On Saturday, Mer and I had a fantastic day at the Taipei Fine Arts Museum and The Taipei Story House. They had a digital media exhibition in the FAM, which was awesome. There was a huge room with bright white lights and four screens with a snake crawling through it, and another movie of a vulture stuck inside a studio. Crazy stuff, but good for thought. A painter, who specialized in abstract art painted my portrait outside the museum.
That night, we headed to the Source, then to Luxy for Digweed. I was not a big fan of his trance. I prefer drum and base so I was in the Lotus Room for most of the night. Amy was a trooper and came out for some of the night, even though it was after her week long Singapore trip!
I ran into a lot people, including mafia boy, and another DJ from Tainan. The random Taiwan nights. On Sunday, we went to a film festival, which was really entertaining. Then, we met up with Charles and smoked up right at Zhoanxio(sp?) and Dunhua and had a great dinner at the Bangkok restaurant...same place Bre and I went to, a week before!
My kids fought today, and one had a nose bleed. I bought a fan from the market last night. The Horizon boys are up to their usual tricks. Other than that, all is well on this side of the world.
