my fucked head... sleeping disorders.

Back in 2004 when I was staying with Dinger and Jared, I started seeing things when I was falling asleep or had just fallen asleep. I remember one time waking up a few minutes after fallen asleep and asking my girlfriend at the time where the cat on the kitchen counter came from. She told me it was a water bottle. I didn't believe her, got up and ( Read more... )

i have the same thing with the hypnogogic/hypnopompic/whatever state thing where i either see crap when i'm falling asleep, or i see it when i'm waking up in the middle of the night. i don't have it as bad as you do, either, though. but i have to sleep with the hall light on so if i wake up there's enough light for me to tell that nothing is actually happening. that seems to help a lot. i usually see spiders, then sometimes plants or vines, things like that. once i saw these wire angels that someone gave me for christmas. i havent seen people but my mom has. i'm really glad i haven't seen people...that would be terrifying. anyway, she said she thinks it's stress-related. i don't know if that's true but hey, why not.

also its weird that i just saw this now because i just sleepwalked two nights ago for the first time (?) in my life.

I know it probably doesn't seem like it to you, but that's so interesting. If it is stress-related (and it seems that might fit with your life lately): your body does totally insane things when you're stressed out, even when you're not really conscious of being stressed. Ex: I've broken out in hives and been physically unable to move my hands a couple of times due to apparent stress, and I also get daily migraines for weeks on end about once a year, generally when I have a lot of shit on my brain. It's pretty awful when your body totally rebels; it's not like you WANT to be stressed or depressed or any of these things, so it just ends up compounding the problem.
