First off: what the fuck is up with the price mark-ups on dolls? I absolutely love Kyoto Limited SD Byakuren, who retails for ~$650 at the Tenshi no Sato shop. The least I've been able to find him/her/it for (including shipping) is $850, and I've seen it as high as $900 for an unlimited doll. (Well, sorta limited; it is only available at the Tenshi no Sato stores, but isn't limited in numbers.) It just makes me so mad. I mean, obviously it's fair to ask for a little bit, but a nearly $300 markup for a not-limited doll? -_-; It just makes me so mad, because I really love Byakuren, but can't really justify paying $200+ extra, and it looks like I'll never get to go to Japan. *sigh* It's the same with the FCS. $800ish for a custom-made doll isn't bad; $1,000+ is another story. If I lived in Japan/LA, I wouldn't charge nearly as much; I mean, enough for gas/travel + shipping. It just not right that people make profits from someone else's (namely Volks') work. People whine about scalpers, but how is this any different? Charging $1,000 for a $750 limited doll is no different than charging $1,000 for a $750 standard doll; if anything, it's worse. Gah!
I hope that with Volks coming to Los Angeles (even if it is on the other side of the country, WTF?!)  there will be people nearby that area that are willing to do shopping services for much less, and that the people in Japan will lower their prices, to keep up with the competition. (Either that, or Volks will have a Tenshi no Sumika in, say, NYC, or something.) *rowr*

... uhm, right. In other news, if one of my buddies wants something from eLuts.com (like, an item of clothing, or something) do you want to split an order? I want a pair of jeans + a button down shirt from them, but I don't wanna pay $12 shipping for two items.

babble, whine, note, bitch
