So, a few days ago, I randomly decided to sew something, which is odd, seeing as how up until then, not only did I not sew, I just plain couldn't. Anyway, I used James's hoodie pattern, resized it to 74% and cut it out.
In the end, I manged to make a rather cute, if shoddy, little blue sweatshirt with green stitching. Needless to say, I was disgustingly proud of this accomplishment. The hoodie itself was sort of cute, in a home-made, Mummy does this 'cause she loves you sort of way, even if I did sew the hood on inside out. ^^;
Anyway, I started a second one (black, with neon green stitching) and it was really relaxing - except when I stabbed myself and tangled my thread. I really see why people enjoy sewing: it's relatively easy, and it's really rewarding to make something. So far, all I can manage is hoodies, but tomorrow I'm going to try something(s) new. I'm going to make a cotton yukata for Ichiiro, on the sewing machine.
Maybe I'll even try to make July a hoodie, too. Goodness knows half a yard of ribbing is more than enough fabric for two doll hoodies.
