I just want everyone to know that making it through the crap which is anderson county high school is definetely worth it if you get to go someplace like bethany afterwards. I love it here!
I've got more good news for everyone that's interested; I joined a part of the music club called "Bethany Broadway group" and we sing songs from different musicals. tried out for a solo, got it, and he told me it was "wonderful." can you believe it?! someone other than my family actually thinks I have a good voice. I'm a first soprano now---AND he offered to give me free private lessons, since I told him there was no way I could possibly cough up the $250/semester. He said he's coach me for free, because he hated to see it gone to waste. Wow! that was the #1 most exciting thing that happened to me this week.
oh, and I must tell you all about my freshman seminar. as we all know, I'm taking "the scholar's harry potter", but it's only for freshmen. ok, so thursday, dr. hull decides that we need to be given the "sex talk". you know, STDs, etc. but um, this was a little more...real(?) let's just put it this way; it involved bananas and condoms and "practice". I'm not joking. I was so embarassed. I know meredith was too, right, mere?
Oh, I wish you all could be here! I really love it!
and the guys like to flirt here, especially in the dorm. it's mondo fun.this one guy says hi to every girl by kissing them on the cheek like 30 times, like this, "mwamwamwamwamwamwamwa!"
hehehe.
and the play's going well. we perform in two weeks. and..correction from last week; this other girl named beth is in it and she's a freshman too. for some reason I thought she was older...but we all get along great. theatre people are always lots and lots of fun!
I miss you all, though...
and oh, how I miss roaming the stinky, sweaty halls off ACHS...being thrown to one side or another by your own backpack...dealing with people like pease and smith(zilla)...
not.
love you!
