one of those practicum updates
Things are quiet here at Wolseley Family Place. I finished my task list this morning. There is a large teddy bear sitting beside my desk. It looks at me each day and says "take me home Erin" and each day I tell it "maybe another day", cause really, this bear is at least two feet high, maybe more. I quite like it though, I've claimed it, but can't quite bring myself to take it on the bus with me.
Christmas vacation was, in my opinion, quite awesome. I stayed at home a lot, watched waaaaay too many DVD's from movie village and went to Second Cup too much. Getting back into the swing of things, is a bit difficult, but worth it. I really am looking forward to classes starting Monday. And it really is nice to be back at practicum. The hard part is finding balance in everything of course, but once again, I'm setting out with the best intentions.
I did a sad lack of reading over the break, but I'm feeling okay with that. Sometimes my brain just needs a break, as I tend to over think things. TV means I don't have to think, and sometimes that's really good.
This week has been busy. In summary, Sunday I went to church, church, PYC meeting, come and go thingy at the Russell's. Monday I worked reception at the school over lunch and then went over to Vandana's with Brigitte and Crystal, Tuesday I had practicum and then went to a meeting at Matt and Cheryl's. Wednesday I just worked reception, which was a nice break, Today is pracitcum and then I'm babysitting and tomorrow I work all day in reception at school and then I have street ministry.
