a little freaked out
Okay, so I'm a little nervous here. I got home from school at like 10 tonight (yes, i was at school on thanksgiving sunday...i was eating :) ) and there was a cop car in front of our building. i was like okay, whatever, there could be any number of reasons why there's a cop car parked on my street. There are after all a lot of buildings and not much parking.
Then I came inside, I noticed right away that the security camera which points at the door was pointed at the wall instead. I didn't figure that that was a good sign. I get in the elevator, I get to my floor. I get out, two cops get on. Then I turn the corner...there is smashed glass on the floor almost directly infront of my apartment door. The fire extinguisher is missing from behind it's glass. I turn the key in my dead bolt, it's not locked. I turn my other key, the lock clicks open....and...my apartment is fine.
But, I'm a little freaked. I mean, who knows why the cops were here or what's up with the smashed glass and missing fire extinguisher, but it all happened right outside my door. My apartment is next to our caretaker, so I guess if anyone had a grudge against her or something... i don't know though. I just put all three locks on the door. Jackie is out for the next two nights, so i'm on my own.
