ARGH!
I am SO sick of people messing with my bike, so yes, this is another bike related rant.
Today I had my bike locked outside work. My seat has a quick release thing so it comes off and I take it inside with me. Someone stole the freaking screw and lever. Now my seat is not secure and thus I can't ride my bike. They stole it from another bike on the same rack too. Like seriously, do people have NOTHING better to do with their time then screw with my bike??? I mean, at least it didn't get stolen this time, but still. It took someone a lot of time, screwdriver and pliers to undo that stupid lever and screw.
And now the question, where the heck do I get a new one so I can ride my bike again??? I just looked on the mec website and browsed all their bike parts but it didn't look like they had one. Oh where oh where do I go? I NEED this bike.
I'm getting really fed up with this. I got the bike to ride it to work. I work in Wolseley, it's not the greatest area, but still. It just bugs me how much effort it must have taken to unscrew the levers from two bikes. And for what? It's not like they have a resale value or are usual, it's just purely to be a jerk and to damage someone else's property. I'm sick of this. Really sick of this. I mean, I'm glad the seat wasn't on it so they couldn't steal the seat, but still. Now I have to go hunting for a stupid leaver so I can ride my bike again. I was thinking about forgoing the lever and just getting a screw, but then I either have to take a screwdriver with me everywhere or leave my seat on. And if people were willing to go to the effort of stealing just the leaver, I'm not leaving it there for them to steal my seat!!!
edit: I've screwed on the seat for now (I love my toolbox sometimes) but seriously, I do not freaking want my seat stolen from work on Tuesday!
