Drink up, baby

Words do not hold enough to speak
of this sky
I see your eyes.
The gods call tonight
their heaven.
Colors of this place surround me
and I am an entity of
no other; only you know.
He told me to paint the sky
that tonight would hold
Under the pink-laced clouds
we hide
we hold
eachother beneath it
supported by the mountains of our home.
Our lives tremble to the strong beats
Of the sun's rays against lace
our blanket is this sky.
____________

The sliver of moon takes in
all this brillance.
The sun's partner.
Arizona lights up with fire.
Only planes know what it is
to be held by the curious light of
the world's deep blue..
____________

Tonight you are my plane
Tonight you carry my light.
______

The mystery of the moon's other side calls back to the sun's slumber
Takes over as worker for awhile.
Her curiousity comforts our spirits, and for some moments
we fly
___

I knew I'd find you here. Words no longer speak the language of my heart.
