(no subject)
So I saw the new Mummy Movie over the weekend : Tomb of the Dragon Emperor.. Now, before I get started on this, I'd like to inform you all of how much I completely and utterly ADORE the first two Mummy movies. Honest to god, I could quote the entire thing, start to finish, with no prompting - except maybe the Egyptian parts... I'm a little rusty...
Things that were incredibly awesome about this movie:

+Blowing up a truck full of fireworks

+Rick holding ice on his balls
+Yeti! OMG! Everyone needs a Yeti friend!
+Johnathan wanting to put a casino in paradise
+Johnathan shooting a big ass gun out of a bigger ass plane
+Luke Ford... Damn.
+Brendan with his shirt off.... *drools*
+The General guy getting ripped into parts by the horses
+The awesome CGI
+Rick fly fishing and everything involved with it.. especially the part with Evie eating the bullet...

What I didn't like about this movie:
Sigh... I really hate to say this... but Maria Bello. I spent a good chunk of this movie HATING her. Hating that she wasn't Evie.. hating that her character was so UNEvie.. Hating the absolute LACK of chemistry between her and Rick. It was SO painful. The only time she got points, was when Rick and Alex had their moment, and she wrapped her arms around them both and said, "My boys." It was the 'only' time I even slightly warmed to her..
Ugh. It was just awful.
This movie would have been ten times better with Rachel...
All of that said.. I watched it a second time, and, having gotten over the Maria Bello thing.. It's SO GOOD... *grins*
