#33) If a person grows up feeling unsafe, then later in life finds a place or circumstance wherein they do feel safe, that place will take on for them a significance far outstripping almost anything else in their life.
#34) Cops (and security people in general) are tasked with keeping the peace. Just that. Nothing more. To serve and protect is just a motto, not a mission statement.
