ya i was reading in the news and europe is like totally trashing our church because they dont know the difference.
the church officials arn't happy about it.

First, none of the 400 or so women and children were forced to leave the compound according to the first three news sources I found. They left on their own free will, something that I think says a great deal about the situation ( ... )

ya i understand that its sick for a 50 year old to be married to a 16 year old, but say that a girl in yelm called in because "someone" some unidentified man was abusing her. then the cops came in and took every kid in yelm under the age of 18 into custody just in case it was happening to other kids as well.
to me its nearly the same thing.

i think that they left "on their own free will" because what else could they do? you know.

A city is completely different than a compound ran by a guy charged a few years earlier. I actually think it was totally fake and that she wasn't even there, especially since she called from a land phone and to my knowledge, there were no land phones in the entire compound. Who even knows. I think it was definitely handled in the wrong manner though ( ... )

i disagree. Polygamy is something they believe God wants them to do. Its built into their entire lives, and though i dont agree with it, i completely understand it. They are being faithful to what they believe is right. I think one of the most important things about this country is the absolute freedom of religion. I dont believe anyone has any right to persecute a group of people for their belief ( ... )
