So, we just got back from the store. First we went into the little shop that sells party type stuff. They had an assload of scented candle. So, while Mama's getting Patrick's stuff, I'm walking around smelling every candle. I get to one, I look at the name....Midsummer's Night....Uh huh, because nighttime smells." I thought. I put it to my nose....and I almost fell back in shock. It smelled exactly like Jose. Tears swelled up in my eyes, and I walked away. Just when I was at the point where I'm hardly ever thinking about him anymore. Son of a bitch. If that's what a midsummer night smells like, remind me not to go outside until September.
This morning I was sitting at the computer fucking around and all of a sudden out of my lips comes "I'm not sick...but I'm not well....somethin' somethin'....cause I'm in hell." And I thought, Where the fuck did that come from? Does that ever happen to you guys? You just burst out into song without even thinking about it? That hasn't happened to me in so long...
Anyway, I didn't even remember what song it was or were I had heard it. By chance, I happened to be going through all my old CDs, as I'm thinking of making a list of all the ones I have. I came across a mix CD of songs from....god....1998? Anyway, I put it in and was listening. All of a sudden "Flagpole Sitta" came on. HOLY FUCK! THAT'S WHERE I HEARD THAT FROM! I used to listen to that mix CD all the time and I never listened to that song....I don't know what made me sing it out of nowhere. But I've been listening
to it all day now. Hey, when my soul starts singing through me, I ain't one to deny it. ;)
