ergh, so i got sideswiped by a volvo with no blinker last friday. i sprained my knee real bad. i worked on it friday & monday, but the pain was so excruciating that i decided (aka, dispatch made me take the day off) to go get it looked at. that's when i found out it was sprained, and they gave me crutches... which i'm not using. so, now i'm out of

my company didn't give me shit compensation when i was out for a week and a half after getting my ass kicked on the job. but they did at least give me workers comp for medical things...when are you going to visit NYC?

soon, i hope. i'm making a plan to head back east for a couple weeks when it gets warm. i'll probably take a late fung wah bus (like one of the 3 a.m deals) into the city, so i can stow my bike and ride while i'm there.

i'm glad you got workman's comp. are you a 10-99 or a w2?

i don't know what those numbers mean really...i'm not an independent contractor if that's what your asking, my company doesn't have any of those

ok, 10-99 is the independent contractor tax code. w2 means you're a real employee, so that's good, cause you gotta get comped when you get hurt. i'm glad i'm not a w2, just because the company is so small it's cheaper for them to pay me for missed time, and then go to the free hospital than it is for them to be a taxed establishment.
