cobblestone cold out here
So, today Alex and I hung around Wayne for most of the afternoon, her in her red peacoat and me in my teal one. It was bone-chillingly cold. We spent most of our time in various cafes.
The best part was when we found this Big Band songbook in the upstairs room at the Gryphon. We each flipped randomly to three songs.
Hers:
"Moonglow", "Blue Serenade", and something about sitting with a loved one under an apple tree.
Mine:
"Just a Gigolo", "Somebody Will Take My Place", and "Makin' the Whoopee"
If this is in any way not a coincidence, I believe it does not bode well for my future.
