Quoting Idiocy

Another old piece I wrote a long while ago, which explains the political comments. :)

People who are in desperate need of a smack upside the head:

- wear nonprescription glasses because they’re “fashionable”
- think that Ashlee Simpson has a “decent singing voice”
- watch stupid movies (like “Dodgeball”) because they are “funny”
- think guys “dominate” girls
- drink alcohol because “a little isn’t all that dangerous”
- claim that tennis is not a “real sport”
- use “good” and “well” interchangeably in the wrong situations
- drink tap water because it is “just as good as” bottled water
- announce “true love” at the age of fifteen
- find Ashton Kutcher “hot” and/or “funny”
- refuse to keep up with pop culture because it’s too “conforming and trendy”
- believe “American Idol” is “exciting” to watch
- smoke cigarettes because it “helps calm nerves”
- use the word “savage” (as in “What a savage.”)
- shop at Hollister and Abercrombie because the quality of the clothes “correlates with the price and are thus better”
- proclaim having fallen “in love at first sight”
- justify mindless actions with “God told me to”
- claim George W. Bush is a “good president”
- brought a pair of “flip flops” to a Republican convention

I love putting “idiocy” in quotes.
