So THIS is what they meant...

So last semester? They say that the first semester of law school... there's nothing like it. In saying that, I think they are referring to the workload, the change in perspective, and the incredible amount of information you cram into your head. For the latter two, I'll agree somewhat. The former, however, dead wrong. This second semester has so far been insane. Switching those two classes for Property and Constitutional Law has increased my workload ... we'll say sevenfold. Add on top of that the fact that I'm looking for internships in Boston, and my LRW writing assignments due, there's little to no free time.

On the interesting side, however, is my Constitutional Law professor (and possibly his wife, my Property professor, who I think is also doing this). Professor Williams, a Constitutional scholar, is working with the Burmese people, in Burma, to draft a constitution under the noses of the SPDC military government. That's where he was, I believe, over winter break (and definitely over summer), under the guard of guerrilla fighters. Friggin' crazy! The Women's Law Caucus is doing their yearly auction, where the professors provide entertainment packages for students and others to bid on. The Williams' involves learning to shoot and field strip an AK-47, which he needs to know how to do for his trips to Burma.
